To meet our goal of delivering high-quality services to high-quality clients, we are interested in meeting people who are up to the task. We are not actively hiring, but will consider unique opportunities.

What we have to offer:

The Firm offers the opportunity for a great lifestyle in dynamic Orange County, California; a platform to develop a top-notch legal practice; a dedication to excellence; the opportunity to develop a client base with the Firm in a supportive environment; and a culture that values fairness, family, teamwork, and the benefits of balancing life and law.

We’re looking for lawyers with big-firm experience who want to try something new. We’re looking for lawyers interested in a law firm that offers more of the plusses of practicing law, with fewer minuses.

We know what its like to be in the trenches at a big firm. Working at a big law firm can be exhilarating, and equally exhausting. The financial rewards are great, but the intangible costs are also high. Ever have a partner who is too busy to supervise your arcane new assignment and then drops into a meeting at the last second to ask if you’re willing to bet your firstborn on the outcome of your work? We have. Ever been told that the firm only hires those it expects to make partner, later to realize you’re at the bottom of a pyramid scheme where the base (incoming attorneys) cannot possibly keep growing fast enough to keep adding equity partners at the top? We have. Ever seen work you originated go to other attorneys, only to be criticized when your other matters dry up? We have. Ever rack up weeks of unused vacation time because you can’t spare the time away from the office? We have.

Many attorneys eventually realize that life at a big firm is not a sustainable lifestyle. According to a recent ABA publication, lawyers at big firms report greater job dissatisfaction. Ever-increasing pressure for billable production, unstated competition for diminishing partnership slots, partnership demands for a huge book of business, too many bosses, long commutes, not enough hours in the day, and ever-increasing billable rates that make it difficult to attract good clients, are everyday challenges.

We don’t know if we have the solutions to all of these issues, but we’re interested in growing with those who share our outlook and skills, especially here in beautiful Orange County, California.
